In this piece Franka Marlene Foth collaborates with Sterni, European Champion of dB drag racing, a competition rewarding the person who can produce the loudest sound inside a vehicle. The "dB" means decibels of sound pressure level. The car is the centerpiece and sound source blasting tunes from the tuned sound system inside the car.
The dancers draw movement inspiration from the bass heavy system embodying the immersive sound that is coming from the vehicle with an expansive choreography by Franka Marlene Foth. The dancers hair plays a central role in this performance showcasing a visually and sonically immersive exploration of the relationship between music, movement, and identity.
